This course is delivered in  two sessions at the workplace and will include pre-course studies. Students will receive a link to register for the course and must register prior to the face to face sessions.
 
Session 1 – Training (2-3 Hrs approx.) depending on number of attendees.
 
An OZFORKS trainer will visit the workplace to meet with the students, guide them through any pending online requirements, and explain the licence testing process. This will be followed by a PowerPoint presentation of Orderpicker safe operating practices to prepare them for the assessment. The session will conclude with hazard identification, forklift safety checks, and practical training.
 
Session 2 – Test Day (4-6 Hours) depending on number of attendees.

3. Theory, Calculation and Practical Assessments (Licence tests)

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment with the relevant Units of Competency, issued by (AITAC) RTO 3591.
 
They will also be given a temporary WorkSafe Orderpicker licence which is valid for 60 days and be able to apply for a nationally recognised forklift High Risk Work Licence from Worksafe.

To participate in the Orderpicker course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years
  • Identification: Students must provide two valid forms of identification, such as an Australian driver’s licence, passport or proof of age card as primary ID.
  • LLN: Assessment activities must all be conducted whilst communicating in English, and interpreters are not allowed to be used. Students require a reasonable command of English and basic numeracy skills to complete the government-mandated assessment tool for these courses. Only minor adjustments for personal or workplace reasons are allowed.
